SM UK Cycle Minder

SM UK Cycle Minder is a 4 sensor ultrasonic sensor system that has been developed with the safety of Cyclists in mind.

With more cycle lanes getting commissioned in the UK's major city's accidents between HGV & Cyclists are on the increase. The majority of accidents involving cyclists and HGV's occur when the HGV is turning left with the cyclists obscured from the drivers view.

SM UK Cycle Minder is designed to warn the driver when cyclists are approaching in the N/S.

The system includes:

  • 4 ultrasonic sensors, mounted to the N/S of the vehicle.
  • Sensors activated when the vehicle is manoeuvring through city centres at low speeds.
  • Audible warning to the cyclists when the N/S indicators are activated.

All of this can be upgraded to the SM UK 360 package incorporating a blind spot camera and an in cab monitor.

Every year in this country around 17,000 cyclists are killed or injured in reported road accidents, including around 2,500 who are killed or seriously injured.
